The 2006 Mike Massey Open took place in Bettlach a small place in Switzerland. The Top players of the european billiardsport took part. 32 players were invited and automatically seeded into the final round. Over 200 players played in this tournament to get a spot under the last 64. But the tournament was not the only thing that happend there. Mike Massey , Trickshot Worldchampion and Hall of Famer, held a couple of training sessions for young players and of course he showed us his great Trickshotshow. It was a really great event.
I was invited to this tournament and because of that I was seeded into the final round. In my first match I played a guy from Switzerland. I felt good, but after the not successful Euro Tour I couldnīt play my game. I couldnīt find my stroke and made a lot of unnecessary mistakes. I was defeated with 9:6 and because we played K. O. System I was out.
I was very disappointed but I think every sportsman and sportswomen has to go through periods like that.
