Charity tournament in New York

The first Dr. Louis Pannullo Charity event for the Michael Magro Foundation which supports children cancer patients was held from the 6.-7. of September in New York. Next to the WPBA Stars like Allison Fisher, Jeanette Lee, Gerda Hofstätter and Jasmin Ouschan the male Pros like Mika Immonen, George Sansouci, Shaun Wilkie and Tony Robles took also some time off for this special event.

The tournament was full with 64 players and Ouschan managed to win 3 clear matches until she lost 7:5 to Mika Immonen. Jasmin Ouschan fought her way through the losers bracket with a close 9:8 win over Jeanette Lee. In the quarter final Ouschan met Mosconi Cup member Tony Robles from the USA. Robles had a good head start and took a rapid 4:0 lead. Jasmin Ouschan fought back and managed to win one game after another.  In game 11 Ouschan had the chance to go 6:6 but ended up making an unnecessary mistake. Tony Robles took this opportunity and gave the only woman left in this event no more chances and entered the semi final with a 9:5 victory over Ouschan. With a clear 9:3 victory over John Alicea and a 11:7 success over Shaun Wilkie secured Robles his tournament victory.

„My result at this event is not the most important thing here. It is way more important that we were able to collect 8000 Dollar for the Michael Magro Foundation and that is absolutely great.”
