IBP Euro Tour in Malaga/Spain

The last Euro Tour of the year took place in the beautiful Torrequebrada Hotel in Malaga/Spain. The hotel is directly located at the ocean and due to the warm climate, in contrast to the rest of Europe, a lot of players took the chance to play in this event. Again the IBP Team put in a lot of effort to let the playing arena look as good as possible. Also the BetandWin Team was there to broadcast all the TV table matches live on the internet.

At the beginning Jasmin Ouschan played Patrick Menillo from Italy. The match was pretty balanced but both players made a few mistakes. In the end Ouschan could win the match with a tight 10:8 score. In match Nr. 2 Jasmin Ouschan faced Hakim Mo from Holland. The young Austrian adjusted very well to the conditions and put in another gear against the strong Dutch player. She managed to win this match also with 10:8. The next match was a new edition of the first match at the World Pool Masters. Her opponent was Nick van den Berg from Holland. Up and till then Jasmin Ouschan had lost 2 times against Van den Berg and so it was still time for revenge. The exciting match was played on the TV table where Ouschan managed to start out with 2 Run-outs. But the chances Ouschan gave away in the following games gave her a hard time. Nick van den Berg took the opportunity to take the lead and win in the end with a clear 10:4 score. In the losers round Ouschan had to play Darren Appleton  from Great Britain. Ouschan who was focused on the table managed to put Appleton under pressure. She knew that she was not allowed to do that many mistakes, but Appleton was mentally strong and fought back. Nobody could take the lead until Ouschan made the important points which led to a 10:8 victory over Darren Appleton. Right after Jasmin Ouschan faced Patrick Menillo again. Menillo who looked pretty confident run out the first 3 games showing how much he wants to win this match. Ouschan stayed calm and was concentrated on her game. After a while Menillos lead was gone but the match stayed exciting. Ouschan kept the match well under control and won again with 10:8. In the last match of the day Ouschan played against Torrenti Alessandro from Italy, who only lost 10:9 to Souquet one round before and was obviously not an easy opponent at all. After her 3 matches Jasmin Ouschan tried to get as much energy back for this important last match and that worked out. With a very good performance and a 10:5 score over the Italian, Ouschan entered the final round.  

„I am very happy with my game so far. It is tough to have that many matches on one day but especially because of that I appreciate my performance so much. I will try now to fill up my energy storage and prepare for my next match. Tomorrow is a new day and we will see what else is possible,” said Jasmin Ouschan.

In the final round Ouschan had to play the current Nr.1 of the Euro Tour and new Mosconi Cup Member Konstantin Stepanov from Russia. Stepanov who had one of his best years, seemed to be in a very good shape and because of that an extremely tough opponent. Jasmin Ouschan had a good start into the match by running out the first 2 games until she completely lost her concentration. This led to a lot of mistakes which Stepanov used for taking over the lead. Even though Stepanov wasn’t playing on his highest level, Ouschan had a hard time finding back into her game and lost with a 10:6 score.

„Even though my performance was not so great in the last match, I can say that I am satisfied with the result. With this Euro Tour I can end this year in a positive way and with a good feeling," said Ouschan after the event.
