IPT Qualifier in Oslo/Norway

I was of course not very satisfied with the result in Lampertheim, so I decided to play another IPT Qualifier in Oslo/Norway. Again it was a though field with players like Vilmos Földes, Kasper Thygesen and Roger Lysholm. But this time I was a lot better prepared and I arrived a couple of days earlier to adjust to the table conditions. The draw made me play against Kasper Thygesen from Denmark. I was able to put a lot of pressure on him and managed to win 10:5. After this good start I played the dutch S. Mazrocis and won with 10:7. The last match on this day was against Norways number 1 Roger Lysholm. The match balanced and we both made some mistakes but in the end I won with 10:8. Next day I faced Ben Davies from Great Britain. He played a slow but very good 8 Ball and didn´t give me many chances. He crushed me wih 10:4. My last chance to get a spot was against Vilmos Földes who already played in the IPT in Las Vegas. It was a very exciting match but at the score of 5:5 I made good use of my opportunities and took a rapid 9:5 lead. I qualified for the IPT World Open 8-Ball Championship with a 10:7 victory over Földes. I am very happy to go to Reno, because it is my goal to play in the IPT against the best men.
